Day 5: Munich

It's Christmas Eve in Munich.  Not much planned for the day today.

We started the day going to the Munich Christmas Market.  It's a wonderful collection of booths of all different sorts of things.  Some had food, some had drinks, most had Christmas ornaments and decorations.  The area was in a large open market.

In the main market area there was the Rathaus-Glockenspiel which is like a clock tower that had moving characters, much like a cuckoo clock.

After shopping for some ornaments we had lunch at a beer garden.  It's the oldest one in the city.

I had a traditional german lunch of "4 small wieners and potato salad".  They tasted like hot dogs.

Inside the restaurant there was an oompah band playing traditional music.

We continued to walk around and we stopped in one church.  We then headed back to or hotel before venturing out for dinner at a neighboring hotel.
